SUMMARY:Self-defence workshop for women and girls
DESCRIPTION:Dalia Terret brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this empowering workshop. A former Metropolitan Police officer\, close protection operative and behavioural detection specialist\, Dalia has spent her career focused on safety and awareness. She is also a highly trained self-defence and martial arts instructor\, and the author of Not Today – A Woman’s Guide to Safer Living. Through her engaging and practical approach\, Dalia helps women and girls understand how to recognise danger\, make safer choices\, and feel confident using simple self-defence techniques that could one day make all the difference. \nThis workshop is open to all women and girls aged 11+. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult. \nExact location details will be sent to ticket holders 3 days before the event. \nEach participant will need to complete and return a medical questionnaire before the event in order to take part in this interactive workshop. \nRight of admission is reserved. \nIf you have any questions please email hayley@myisraelcharity.org

SUMMARY:Neurodiversity: surviving and thriving as a parent and family
DESCRIPTION:Join us to hear from Emeritus Professor Amanda Kirby who has an international reputation in the field of Neurodiversity. She is the current chair of the ADHD Foundation\, in the UK works closely with the BDA\, Dyspraxia Foundation and several Autism charities. She has written 8 books and more than 100 research papers in the field and is an emeritus Professor at the University of South Wales and honorary professor at Cardiff University. \nShe is a parent of neurodivergent children\, and grandchildren and a GP and is herself neurodivergent. She has a PhD in emerging adulthood in neurodiversity and founded and ran a clinical and research team for 15+ years relating to neurodiversity. She is the CEO of Do-IT Solutions\, who are Disability Confident Leaders. Do-IT is an innovative tech for good company providing web-based screening and assessment tools relating to neurodiversity for all ages. \nProfessor Kirby will take questions in advance which should be sent to hayley@myisraelcharity.org.
