Putting smiles back on young faces

Evacuation shattered 8-year-old Ari’s world. Living in a hotel for the past 15 months has seen him regress, demanding his pacifier, wetting the bed and waking countless times each night.

It’s hard to believe that just 45 minutes with a horse can profoundly heal, but for Ari, the transformation has been nothing short of miraculous.

Thanks to therapeutic riding sessions funded by Myisrael, things have started to fall back into place. In his first lesson, Ari hesitantly brushed a pony, then rode it. After 15 minutes, he took out his pacifier and handed it to his mother, saying, “I don’t need it now.” Six months on, Ari sleeps peacefully and his smile has returned.
Myisrael has funded hundreds of equine therapy sessions, bringing reassurance and healing to children like Ari.
