Edgware Community supporting Israel
Reut Sderot from the second day of the fighting, opened an array of over 100 association employees and residents' volunteers to help at the front.
We have been providing crucial assistance, here's a summary of what we are doing now:
1. Aid to the citizens remaining in the city: At present, about 25% of the city's residents (about 5,000 people) remain in Sderot. Most of them are single people, mothers, the elderly, the sick, and mourners who have lost their loved ones.
We take care of their needs and help alleviate their loneliness.
For those citizens whose homes have been damaged, we help them to get basic electrical products etc. and if necessary, help to bury the dead and arrange matters related to their Shiva.
2. Aid to the soldiers: the city of Sderot today serves as a center for soldiers arriving in the south before fighting or for a brief respite from it.
The soldiers need hot food, dry foodstuffs, toiletries and hygiene products, showers and laundry.
Our volunteers help them with this. Reut Sderot buys hot food for them, and has reached an agreement with a local laundry business owner so that the soldiers can refresh themselves.
3. In addition to this, Reut Sderot thinks about the day after for the mental and physical rehabilitation of the community and the residents of the city. We will need financial assistance for respite for children and adults and psychological treatments for victims and volunteers.
Please help us to help the citizens of Sderot and the Soldiers on our front lines by donating through this website. Everything you give, no matter how small will help.
We can also accept donations from charity accounts like Smart Giving and Achisomoch. For donations of over £1,000 please make a bank transfer and let us know to expect it.
