There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as guests at Myisrael’s Comedy Night were left crying with laughter!

Hosted by award winning comic Mark Maier with Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Jonny Awsum, BBC Radio 4 star Josh Howie, and impressionist Addy Van der Borgh wowing the crowds, Myisrael supporters chuckled their way to raising over £36,000 for Myisrael’s under-the-radar charities.

Speaking at the event, Danni Franks, Myisrael’s Founder and Chief Executive, talked about Myisrael’s newest charity, Healing Hands, a centre offering a range of complementary therapies for people coping with cancer.

She told guests: “I met an amazing lady last month called Isolda who has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time. She goes to Healing Hands every week for reflexology and acupuncture, and she told me that after all her chemotherapy, it was almost impossible to describe what it was like to go to Healing Hands and be touched in a non medical way. It brings her so much relief and gives her the strength to fight her illness.”

Joking that Myisrael’s 18 charities were her ‘babies’, Danni added ‘These are remarkable charities that you’ve probably never heard of because they’re small and they don’t have the resources to market themselves in the UK. But these are charities with long waiting lists, and tonight we can ensure many more people can benefit from their remarkable services.”
