Champion FAQS

Myisrael’s 36-hour Match Fund Campaign takes place on 14th-15th June.

As a Champion, you get to raise funds and awareness from your network in the knowledge that every pound or shekel will be doubled.

We’ll give you a link to your own fundraising page to share with your family and friends.

Funds raised in this campaign will support soldiers with PTSD, teenagers with mental health challenges, children suffering from trauma and many other vulnerable populations in Israel.

After almost three years of war – they’ve never needed you more. This is the moment. It starts with you!

Every year, Myisrael changes the lives of thousands of vulnerable people who have fallen through the cracks and urgently need help.

We adopt grassroots causes supporting families in crisis, survivors of trauma and more. Every cause is carefully vetted and, in addition to financial support, receives guidance from Myisrael to ensure real, lasting impact.

Since 2008, Myisrael has raised more than £17 million for 65+ causes. We have enabled thousands of people to break negative cycles of poverty, abuse and trauma so that they can lead healthier lives.

A champion is someone who raises funds and awareness for a Myisrael campaign by rallying their own network to donate. We’ll give you a link to your own fundraising page to share with your family and friends. That’s it. And the impact is huge. It’s a simple way to do something truly meaningful.

We’ve secured match funding from generous donors who will match every donation made during the campaign. This means that every pound, shekel or dollar given through your page will be doubled — making twice the impact at no extra cost to the donor. For example, a £100 donation made through your page will be automatically doubled to £200.

Donations will be used to fund vital programming for vulnerable children and adults across all of Myisrael’s 21 adopted causes.

Here are just a few examples of where donations will be directed: therapy for trauma victims, support for families in crisis, grants for cancer patients, counselling for survivors of sexual violence, support groups for partners of fallen soldiers, rehabilitation for homeless people; and support for isolated elderly people and holocaust survivors.

£50 could provide access to therapy. £125 could feed a family-in-crisis. £1,900 could fund a year of trauma support.

No. Being a Myisrael champion is not about donating money yourself. Of course, any donation you make will be doubled and will make a real difference. But, there is no obligation. Being a Myisrael champion is about inspiring and rallying your wider network to support these vital causes.

Being a Myisrael Champion does not require a significant time commitment. You will need some availability on Sunday 14th – Monday 15th June to call/send messages to inspire your network to donate during the 36-hour campaign.

Not at all. You don’t need any technical skills — we’ll guide and support you every step of the way, with a dedicated Myisrael contact available whenever you need help.

No — there’s no minimum amount to raise. We just ask that you give it your best effort and reach out far and wide to your network to inspire them to give. Every donation will be doubled, so even the smallest gift makes a powerful difference.
