get involved

volunteering with myisrael
At myisrael, we want you to get involved in our work in any way possible.
Here are some ideas of ways you could help myisrael and some of the projects that we support. Please let us know if you have any other ideas or if you would like to get going on any of the suggestions below:
- Suggest to your shul committee or Rabbi that they consider supporting myisrael or one of our charities
- Invite one of our team to speak to your Bar/Batmitzvah class about different types of projects you could get involved with
- Arrange a fundraising or awareness activity at your school or youth movement
- Set up a committee to organise small or larger scale events for your friends and social groups
- Hold a dinner party and ask friends to bring a donation for the project of your choice rather than a gift for the host
- Take part in a sponsored event that you do with your friends, or take place in a larger event and collect money for myisrael
- If you have a special occasion coming up, set up a fundraising page and ask your friends and family to donate to the project of your choice rather than to bring you gifts
- Become an ambassador for myisrael by spreading the word of what we do among your friends and family
- On a trip to Israel , come and visit or volunteer at a project supported by myisrael. Projects are located all over the country and we could arrange a special visit for your family, school, synagogue or youth movement
- Write an article about myisrael or a project that we support in your school or shul magazine
- Have a collection box (Tzedaka box) in your home for loose change and donate it to myisrael when the box is full
- Set up a standing order to myisrael to ensure your continued support
- Sign up for the myisrael newsletter so that you can keep up-to-date with news and events
